Crying Like a Tall Child

Mitski’s “First Love / Late Spring” is one of my favorite songs of all time. As the weather in the city grows colder and colder, the days become darker too. I often roam the streets reminiscing about summer, though I like to pretend it never left.

I always get sad when winter time comes around. I often ask myself if it’s because winter itself, or if that’s just an excuse. Possibly both.

Either way, Mitski always makes me emotional. Wandering around empty parks that were once overflowing with people, I long for hot days again.
