There’s this little girl
She infests my dreams
She has a queen-size bed
Bugs crawl between the seams
Pictures on the wall
But they’re not of her
Places in magazines
For when she sees the world
But she has no plan
I don’t think she’ll leave
A dusty porcelain doll
She’s barely moved for weeks
Take down picture frames
Cover bathroom mirrors
I shut the hallway door
There’s things she shouldn’t hear
I’m her evil friend
One who brings her toys
There on her queen-size bed
We’re blocking out the noise
