Keeping In Touch

Given the current situation physical closeness might not be possible but showing someone you’re there for them even though you’re not physically close can mean a lot. The drawings are part of series about isolation and feeling lonely called Sitting&thinking, by the end of 2020 I started to explore how closeness can be visually presented when actual physical closeness is not possible. I started looking at hands, hands touching and what touch can metaphorically represent.

I draw inspiration from the movement and fluidity of the body form. My work involves exploring shapes through fragility of a line. For me, it’s about accentuating a form but also leaving it to the viewer’s interpretation.
